Haydn’s Heiligmesse & two new pieces by Seán Doherty, June 11, 2023
The choir performed Haydn's Heiligmesse at St Andrew’s Church, Westland Row, Dublin, featuring four wonderful Irish soloists - Megan O'Neill (Soprano), Gemma Ní Bhríain (Mezzo Soprano), Eamonn Mulhall (Tenor) and Rory Musgrave (Baritone). We were also delighted to premiere two new pieces by contemporary Irish composer Seán Doherty: “Mother” (a choral piece, with lyrics based on the Lola Ridge poem of the same name) and “Paddy’s Rambles Through The Gravel Walks” (an orchestral piece).
Cherubini Requiem in C Minor, 29 January 2023
Cherubini’s Requiem in C Minor was greatly admired by many other composers, including Schumann, Brahms and especially Beethoven, who requested this requiem at his own funeral in 1827. We were delighted to bring this wonderful and little-performed work to life, performing with full choir and large orchestra to a full house, in the lovely surroundings and acoustic of St. Andrew's Church in Dublin.
Music of the Romantics, 12 June 2022
The choir performed Schubert's masterful Mass No.2 in G Major and a collection of sacred motets from Bruckner, Poulenc & Tchaikovsky in the magnificent setting of St. Andrew's Church. Our soloists were Sylvia O'Brien (soprano), Andrew Gavin (tenor) & Owen Gilhooly (bass-baritone).

Haydn Kleine Orgelmesse (Little Organ Mass) & Mozart Missa Brevis in Bb K275
For our first live concert in two years, we performed two of the most renowned choral works of the classical era, by Haydn and Mozart. What a pleasure to be able to bring together the choir, an orchestra and our soloists Mairéad Buicke (soprano), Raphaela Mangan (mezzo-soprano), Gavan Ring (tenor) & Rory Dunne (bass) to a full house at St Andrew’s Church!
Giuseppe Pitoni ‘Cantate Domino’, Easter 2021
Our resilient choir, 87 members strong, have kept together each week through laughter, tears and song during the pandemic. We are delighted to present Cantate Domino by Giuseppe Pitoni - a song of joy and praise this Eastertide.

Dublin City Choral Union recorded this beautiful traditional carol in aid of Focus Ireland for Christmas 2020.

Music by Henry Purcell and Claudio Monteverdi at St Andrew's Church, Westland Row, Dublin. The concert featured guest soloists Eoin Conway, countertenor, Rory Lynch, tenor and Tristan Caldwell, bass. The orchestra was led by David O’ Doherty with organist David Grealy.

Handel Anthems, 27 January 2019
The choir performed a selection of Handel’s anthems including ‘Zadok The Priest’, ‘O Praise The Lord With One Consent’ and ‘The King Shall Rejoice’, with soloists Claudia Boyle and Owen Gilhooley, at St Andrew’s Church, Westland Row, Dublin.
